NATIONAL LIFEGUARD AWARD

The Lifesaving Society’s National Lifeguard Service Award (formally NLS) builds on the fundamentals skills, knowledge, and values of the Lifesaving Society to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards.

Prerequisite: 15+ years of age, Standard First Aid with CPR-C, Bronze Cross

Course Materials: Canadian Lifesaving Manual ($55.00) or First Aid Manual ($20.00) and Alert Manual ($55.00)

Certification: Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Service Award

Recertification

The purpose of a National Lifeguard Service Recertification is to ensure and reaffirm that National Lifeguards can perform at the NLS standard.
The revised NLS training program requires the following items to be evaluated on every recertification.

Prerequisite: Proof of an expired National Lifeguard certification.
